KOLKATA: Muhammad Allousha, a former assistant manager at I-League side Gokulam Kerala, and his mother have died of COVID-19 in Egypt, the club's president V.C. Praveen confirmed.
The Egyptian was recruited by the then coach of Gokulam, Bino George for the club's inaugural 2017-18 season. Allousha was with the side for two months before he left for family reasons. "2017-18 he was with us for two months. After that he left and for family reasons he did not return. Now we came to know about it. Even his mother died due to the same reason," Praveen told IANS.
