Gabriel Jesus earns Brazil recall for friendlies

RIO DE JANEIRO: Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has been recalled to Brazil's squad for friendlies against South Korea and Japan, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old, who was overlooked for Brazil's 2022 World Cup qualifiers in March, has returned to form with seven goals in his last nine appearances for the Sky Blues.

"He is evolving and getting back to his best. He is also high in confidence," Brazil manager Tite told a news conference in Rio de Janeiro. Agencies
