GUWAHATI: The first Working Committee meeting of the Gauhati Sports Association (GSA) for the tenure 2021-23, was held at the Assam Olympic Association Conference Hall here yesterday. The meeting, presided over by newly elected President Pulak Goswami, passed various resolutions regarding the development of sports in the City.

As per the resolutions passed, every player and officials of the GSA teams of every sports discipline will be provided allowances. The GSA will also discuss about providing financial relief to all the 36 Clubs affiliated to GSA, with the State Government. Among other important resolution passed in the meeting included medical insurance of registered players compulsory for every club, arrange own ground etc.

It was also decided in the meeting that a team of Gauhati Sports Association, led by its president Pulak Goswami, will soon meet the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and will discuss with him on various matters related to the development of sports under GSA.
