Government of India new initiative "Fit India Freedom Run"

Tezpur: In the series of perception management and with the aim to take forward the Government of India new initiative "Fit India Freedom Run" and to encourage the fitness among people, Lokra Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Horn Division organised 5-km "Run for Fun" for the kids of Lokra Battalion on Thursday.

The run was conducted under two age categories i.e. Under 10 years and above 10 years for both boys and girls in which total of 36 kids enthusiastically participated. Parents of the participants also came to motivate their children and appreciated the initiative taken by the battalion. The event concluded with the refreshment and prize distribution ceremony. This is stated in a release.
