Guwahati: Selection Camp to be Organised for Volleyball Team

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Sports Association will organise an Open Trial of Volley Ball on the coming Sunday, December 18 in the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre near the Judge's Field of Guwahati in Assam. It will also be the Selection Camp for the Volleyball Team of the Guwahati Sports Association.

The teams selected in this camp will represent the Guwahati Sports Association in the upcoming Inter-District Volleyball Championship. The tournament for both boys and girls will be held in the Bokajan region of Karbi Anglong district from December 26 to 29 of this year.

Interested players born on or after the first of January 2007 will be eligible to participate in this camp. Players have to submit their Birth Certificate issued by the Health department in original, Aadhar Card and a certificate issued by the head of the institution mentioning his or her Class, Roll No and Date of Joining the institution.

All the interested players have been told to attend the camp with proper documentation and register their names at the Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre Ground, Judge's Field in Guwahati by 1:00 pm of December 18, 2022. The Inter School Under 18 Volleyball Championship (up to class 12) has also been postponed to January 5 to 7, 2023. It was previously scheduled to be held from December 16 to 18, 2022. All the interested schools have been informed to confirm their participation in this competition.

It can be done by depositing the necessary entry fee by December 31, 2022. It can be submitted to the Treasurer of the Guwahati Sports Association or the Volleyball Secretary. They will be available at the Guwahati Sports Association office from 4 PM to 7 PM. The entry fee for affiliate units is Rs 500 and for non-affiliate units, it is Rs 1000.
