GUWAHATI: Inter District U-17 School Hockey Tournament for Boys and Girls got under way at the Md Tayabulla Hockey stadium in the city today. Member Secretary for State Level Advisory Committee for Student and Youth Welfare Gitartha Goswami was the chief guest in the opening ceremony and also inaugurated the championship. Several matches were held on the opening day of the competition.
