Ikshan Shanbag Wins Race 1 of Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup

Coimbatore: The fourth season of Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup started on an exciting note as Ikshan Shanbag from Satara grabbed the first position.

Young biking enthusiasts, between 12 and 16 years of age, have a chance to showcase their prowess on an international stage, with the fourth edition of the cup.

The race was challenging where Ikshan emerged as a winner with a record-breaking 10-lap time during Race 1. Aryan Gaurav from Pune and Aditi Krishnan from Bengaluru finished at second and third place at the end of 9 laps.

For Race 2, while Ikshan continued to dominate the racetrack and successfully secured the No. 1 position by finishing 10 laps in 15:01.223 minutes, the second and third spot was held by Chennai’s Prashanth R (14:34.988) and Aryan (14:35.073) respectively after completing nine laps. (IANS)
