India qualify for AFC Under-17 Asian Cup 2026

NEW DELHI: India came back from a goal down to beat Iran 2-1 at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad on Sunday to qualify for the AFC Under-17 Asian Cup 2026.

This will be India’s 10th appearance in the continental tournament: it has previously played in 1990, 1996, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2018, and 2023. Its best finish in the competition remains reaching the quarterfinals in 2002 and 2018. Agencies
