Inter-Departmental Independence Cup at Palin

ITANAGAR: MLA Jikke Tako attended Inter-Departmental Independence Cup Badminton Tournament, organized by the Palin Indoor Hall Management Committee in collaboration with district administration, Kra Daadi here at Palin Indoor hall, Palin on Friday.

The tournament is participated by the officials, HoDs and department staff of the district.

Addressing the participants Tako said that everyone should remain fit and healthy in the older age. “We want to be fit in life but realize the importance of being fit by playing any sports and games very late, he said while adding that badminton should be played only to mark Independence Day but incorporate in daily routine.

He also asked the participants to be sincere, discipline and dedicated to the game and also encourage the youths to participate in such activity and sports so that they can learn from the early age.

“Games & Sports keeps our body and mind healthy, thus it’s much important for our department heads and staff to play. By doing this, it will create a healthy working atmosphere during the working hours with sound mind to execute any work,” he added.

Tako also assured to help in any means for the development of infrastructure and other needs specific to games and sports in the district. Meanwhile, he also urged the participants to be careful while playing badminton and suggested to organize such tournament for the youths too.
