Inter District Senior Women Football at Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA, Aug 27: Under the auspices of Assam Football Association (AFA) and Tinsukia District Sports Association and with active co-operation of Doomdooma Sports Association and Talap-Kordoiguri and Dangri Regional Sports Associations, Gobinda Ram Mour and Banarashi Devi Commemorative day & night 25th Inter-District Senior Women Football tournament will be held at Doomdooma town field, Kordoiguri (Borgora) and Dangri football fields from August 28. Altogether 23 teams from Karbi-Anglong, Silchar, Baksha, Bijni, Bhergaon, Gosaigaon, Tezpur, Kamrup, Karimganj, Kaliabor, Guwahati, Jorhat, Salbari, Nalbari, Charaideo, Kokrajhar, Mangaldoi, Dibrugarh and Margherita will participate in the tournament. The inaugural match will be held between Moran and Mangaldoi Women teams.

A strong reception committee has been formed with Arunjyoti Moran as President, Anuj Kalita and Dr Pranabjyoti as Working Presidents and Dhiraj Gohain and Rana Sonar as General Secretaries for smooth conduct of the tournament and the work is in progress in full swing by now.
