NEW DELHI: After his match-winning 8 for 72 against Australia in Perth, India's Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the top of the Test bowling rankings and reached his career-highest rating of 883 in the ICC rankings. After smashing 161 in the second innings of the Test, his teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal has risen to his career-high No. 2 spot in the batters' standings.

Bumrah defeated Australia's Josh Hazlewood and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada with a 5 for 30 in the Test's opening innings, leaving Australia bowled out for 104.

After taking nine wickets in a home match against England in February of this year and gaining the No.1 position for the first time, Bumrah momentarily regained the top spot in October after the Bangladesh series, but Rabada had since surpassed him.

Mohammed Siraj also improved his ranking by three spots to 25th on the list of Test bowlers after taking five wickets in the Perth Test.

Jaiswal, meanwhile, climbed ahead of England's Harry Brook and New Zealand's Kane Williamson by two spots. Additionally, he set a new career-high rating of 825 and now trails the top-ranked Joe Root by 78 points.

Virat Kohli of India moved up nine ranks to 13th after his 30th Test century, while Travis Head of Australia moved up three spaces to No. 10 after his 89 in the second innings in Perth.

Following their efforts in the first Test match against Bangladesh in Antigua, the fast-bowling trio of the West Indies—Jayden Seales (three spaces up to 11th), Kemar Roach (four places up to 17th), and Alzarri Joseph (three places up to 29th)—also rose in the bowlers' rankings.

To give the West Indies a 201-run victory, Seales took 5 for 87, Roach finished with 4 for 50, and Joseph had figures of 5 for 101.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, captain of Bangladesh, rose three spots to the third spot on the all-rounders' list after making contributions with the bat (23 and 45) and the ball (match haul of 4 for 130) during the Antigua Test.

Despite not playing in the Perth Test, India's Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin remain at the top of the list, respectively.
