Joe Root becomes England's top run-getter in ODIs with a match-winning century against West Indies

LONDON: Batter Joe Root became the all-time highest run-scorer for England in ODIs, going past Eoin Morgan’s mark of 6957 runs. Morgan has a total of 7,701 runs in ODIs, but the remainder of those came during his time at Ireland. Root also went past the 7,000-run mark in 168 innings, becoming the fifth quickest to do the same after Hashim Amla (150 innings), Kane Williamson (159), Virat Kohli (161) and AB de Villiers (166).
