13th Sub-Junior Roll Ball Championship begins today in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The 13th sub-Junior National Roll Ball Championship will begin in the city today. The meet will be held at the DPS School, Khanapara.

The president of the Assam Roll Ball Association Miftauddin Ahmed today informed the media that 17 teams in the boy's section and 15 in the girls’ category will take part in the 3-day meet. The media briefing was also attended by the secretary of the Assam Roll Ball Association Bhumidhar Barman and Raju Dabhade, the secretary General of the International Roll Ball Federation.

Meanwhile the state team for the competition was announced today. The squad: Girls: Udipta Sharma, Tehshin Tamanna, Jasmita Mahanta, Gargi Gupta, Kaashvi Choudhury, Tamanna Agarwal, Shreya Karmakar, Akshita Dowarah, Pratiksha Talukdar, Debastuti Kashyap and Dhanistha Kashyap. Boys: Ishaan Periwal, Krishnagkha Das, BP Hindu, Mehul Agarwal, Debanga Gogoi, Samiran Borah, Tejas Bengani, Nirish Beria, Riyan Ali, Riyan Kapinjal, Swapundeep Tamuli and Dhruv Shah. Coach: Sanjiv Kumar and B A Kargil. Manager: Pallavi Baruah and Triken Medhi.
