5 Seeded Players Knocked Out on Opening Day of AATA-AITA Tennis

GUWAHATI: The opening day of the AATA-AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament, held at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Chachal, saw a series of surprising upsets. A total of five seeded players were eliminated from the competition.

In the Boys U-16 singles, 8th seed Sarthak Anand from Bihar was defeated by unseeded Prashant Borah from Assam. The Girls U-16 singles also witnessed a string of upsets, with 6th seed Abhipsa Gogoi, 7th seed Nishika Iyer, and 8th seed Prapti Baruah all losing to their respective opponents.

Additionally, in the Boys U-14 singles, 4th seed Ashwath A Kumar from Tamil Nadu was knocked out by unseeded player Ebinesh S.
