All Assam Judo Association felicitates Pollob

GUWAHATI: All Assam Judo Association (AAJA) felicitated Commonwealth Judo Championship medal winner Pollob Jyoti Gohain in a function held at the AOA Conference Hall in the city today. Several top officials of the All Assam Judo Association including president Banibrata Das and general secretary Zafar Khan attended the function.

Addressing the media Pollob today said, “It was the second occasion when I won a medal from an International Tournament. I shall try my best to win more medals for my country in the coming days.”

The Commonwealth Judo Championship was held at Port Elizabeth in the first week of August and Pollob, participating in the 81kg category (senior), collected a silver medal. Earlier he bagged a bronze medal in the Cadet event in Commonwealth Judo held in London in 2019.
