Anubrat Barthakur bags chess title

GUWAHATI: Anubrat Barthakur clinched the "Guwahati Chess Academy Online Chess Tournament" title held yesterday. The meet was organized by Guwahati Chess Academy. Anubrat scored 5.5 points from 6 rounds and remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. Pran Gobinda Parashar Kashyap 5 points from the same number of rounds and got second position. Hridika Das claimed the best girl title by scoring 4 points. Bharsita Saharia also scored 4 points but she was declared second on the basis of her tie-break score. Tiberia D scored 4 points and got first position in the Under-15 category. In the U-13 category both Nalinakhya Kashyap and Ariz Zaman scored 4 points each but Nalinakhya Kashyap was declared first on the basis of tie-break score. In the U-11 category Sahaj Gupta got first position by scoring 4.5 points. In Under-9 category Ritisha Mayra Rajbongshi scored 3 points on way to bag first position. In U-7 category Ameya Gupta clinched top spot scoring 3 points.
