AOA celebrates National Sports Day

GUWAHATI: The Assam Olympic Association (AOA) today organized a brief function to celebrate the National Sports Day. The event is organized every year on this day to celebrate the birth day of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand.

Former international shuttler Madhurya Barua as well as sportscaster & commentator Prarthana Hazarika attended the programme as guest speakers and delivered lecture on- Review of Tokyo Olympics, future and prospect of Assam's athletes in the Olympics. The programme, held at the conference hall of the Assam Olympic Association, also attended by the several members of the Association including Secretary Lakhya Konwar.
