

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Taekwondo team has etched their names in the annals of sports history with an extraordinary performance at the 39th National Senior Kyorugi & 12th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship which concluded in Guwahati on Monday.
A team comprising 31 athletes showcased unparalleled skill and unwavering determination, securing a historic victory that shattered previous records.
The state Taekwondo squad claimed an astonishing 5 gold and 4 bronze medals, a feat that reverberates with their dedication and talent.
The gold medalists who brought glory to their state include, Rikpy Nyodu, Miching Taja, Radha Bangsia, Ontey Khamblai, Khinsan Wangsu, Achum Sangha, Lumter Uli and Gangpgung Gangsa.
Additionally, the team's exceptional performance was celebrated with bronze won by Miching Taja, Ontey Khamblai, Kame Bayang, Gangphung Gangsa, Mari Karbak, Likha Govind, Muskan Manyu and Tadar Kuku.
The monumental achievement reflects the unwavering guidance of Likha Robin (General Secretary ATA) and the exceptional coaching prowess of Suraj Ali and Kayang Darang for the Kyorugi Team and Ranjit Biswakarma and Yabi Pudu for the Poomsae Team.
The dedicated team management, led by Cristine Borang and Jina Yangfo as team managers for Kyorugi and Poomsae respectively, played a crucial role in the success.
