Assam beaten by one wicket in Senior Women One Day Cricket

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Gujarat by a single wicket in the Senior Women One Day Cricket held at Surat today. A nice knock from Monikha Das guided Assam to 165-7 in their 50 overs. Monikha, faced 100 balls, remained not out on 71 and there were six hits to the fence. Ruhina Pegu (32) and Sapna Choudhury (28) were the other major contributors.

Gujarat reached the target in 49.2 overs losing nine wickets. Urmila Chatterjee bagged three wickets while Monikha and Rashmi Dey collected two wickets each.
