Assam failed to make a good start in Kabaddi of Khelo India Youth Games

GUWAHATI: Assam failed to make good start in the Kabaddi event of Khelo India Youth Games. The host suffered defeat in all of their four matches held at the LNIPE campus, Sonapur today. In the U-17 Boys category Assam lost to Haryana by 63-18 while in the U-21 section Chandigarh defeated Assam by 54-33.In the same category Telengana in a well contested tie defeated Tamil Nadu by 42-34. The girl’s team also lost both their games in the competition today. In the U-21 category Assam lost to Himachal Pradesh by 20-40. On the other hand U-17 State girls’ team were beaten by Chandigarh 30-17.In this category Haryana registered big win (61-24) against Kerala.
