Assam: Kokrajhar is all set to host 134th Durand Cup from today

KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar SAI Stadium has set ready with colourful decorations as Kokrajhar is one of the five venues of the 134th edition of Durand Cup, 2025, oldest football tournament of Asia which will be conducted in Kolkata, Shillong, Imphal and Jamshedpur. The tournament is being conducted at Kokrajhar for the third consecutive time from July 27 to August 16. The Indian Army along with support of the spirited leadership of Bodoland Territorial Council will host this elite tournament at Sports Authority of India Stadium, Kokrajhar.

For Kokrajhar edition, 134th Durand Cup, Trophy Display Ceremony was scheduled, where the three legacy trophies of Durand Cup would be showcased at Bodofa Cultural Complex Auditorium to the football enthusiasts populace in Kokrajhar. Thereafter, on the same day Trophy Tour will be conducted in the district of Kokrajhar. This August moment would be graced by Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council, Pramod Boro, Smt Nandita Gorlosa, Minister for Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt of Assam, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Minister for Welfare of Bodoland, Govt of Assam, Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding Gajraj Corps, Major General Rohin Bawa, YSM, General Officer Commanding Red Horns Division and Major General Rajesh Arun Moghe, VSM, Vice Chairman Durand Cup Organizing Committee.
