Assam Olympic Association felicitates State sports organizers

GUWAHATI: Assam Olympic Association today felicitated different sports organizers of the State who were recently elected in different posts in their respective National Federation. The function was held at the AOA conference hall. Altogether four organizers were felicitated in the meeting on Tuesday. The list included Bhabajyoti Goswami, Ankush Dutta, Bipul Sarma and Birju Ram. Bhabajyoti was recently elected as the vice president of the Indian Weightlifting Federation. On the other hand Ankuh, Bipul and Birju were elected in the executive body in All India Tennis Federation, Fencing Association of India and Netball Federation of India.

The meeting also felicitated sports organizer Bishnu Ram Nunisa for achieving honorary degree for his contribution in the field of sports. The secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar along with several top officials of the associations including treasurer Tapan Das, vice presidents Ritu Baran Sarma, Rajiv Prakash Baruah, Anup Choudhury and Pranoy Bordoloi were present in the felicitation function.
