GUWAHATI: Assam took the upper hand against Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy tie on day II at Dehradun today. In reply to Assam’s first innings total 294, Uttarakhand was 32-4 when the match stopped early because of poor light. Ranjeet Mali did the most of the damage in Uttarakhand’s innings picking 3-11 in his 9 overs spell. Arup bagged the other wicket. The host lost the last three wickets on the score of 22 and is now trailing by 262 runs.

Earlier Assam today bowled out 294 in their first innings. Riyan Parag, who scored a century and remained not out yesterday, got out on his individual score 123. On the other hand Kunal, the other not out overnight batsman contributed 36 on the board before his departure.
