Assam to participate in North East Olympic

GUWAHATI: Assam will send 300 members contingent to participate in the 1st North East Olympic which will be held in Imphal from October 24.

The decision to take part in the competition was taken in a meeting of the Assam Olympic Association which was chaired by its secretary Rockybul Hussain.

Assam will take part in 12 disciplines which are Athetic, Archery, Boxing, Football, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Weight Lifting, Wushu, Judo, Badminton, Kabaddi and Shooting. The entire contingent will leave Guwahati on October 22 to take part in the competition.
