GUWAHATI: Promising tennis player Chandogya T Pathak stormed into the finals of two categories at the 27th India Club Open Tennis Championship here on Friday. He will compete in the Boys’ U-14 and U-18 singles finals.

In the Boys’ U-18 semifinals, Chandogya defeated Ramanuj Talukdar 6-3, 6-1, while Riyan Kashyap outclassed Abhiraj Dutta with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory. In the Boys’ U-14 singles, Chandogya eased past Chandra Sekhar Mohanty 6-1, 6-1. Meanwhile, Enrich Patar overcame a tough battle against Ayyan Rehamn, eventually prevailing 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.

In the Girls’ U-14 singles category, Dhyana Morang defeated Mrigakshee Changmai 6-1, 6-2 to secure her place in the final. Joining her is Arisha M Choudhury, who beat Phaagun Jyoti 6-2, 6-2 in the other semifinal.
