GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the newly built cricket Stadium at Amingaon on November 16. The ground will be one of the venues for the forthcoming BCCI U-25 Men's State 'A' One Day Cricket.

The new stadium, built at picturesque Numali Jalah, is constructed as a part of Assam Cricket Association's ongoing infrastructure development project. Apart from the ground a new cricket pavilion is also constructed making it a full fledged venue for cricket. The ground already received necessary reorganization from the BCCI to host domestic competition.

Meanwhile Assam Cricket Association today announced the schedule of the different domestic competitions for the season 2021-22. The Assam Premier Club Championship will kick off on November 24 while the RG Baruah U-16 Inter District tournament will start on February 2.

The JK Baruah U-19 Inter District is scheduled to begin from January 5 and Nuruddin Ahmed Senior Inter District Cricket from April 19. On the other hand Pulin Das Inter School cricket, which was introduced a couple of years back, will begin this season on January 4.

Assam Cricket Association also proposed to start an Inter University Cricket Competition in memory of former international umpire Niloy Dutta which is supposed to organize by Tezpur University and Dudhnoi College.
