Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship: 3 State weightlifters win gold

GUWAHATI: A golden day for Assam weightlifting as three weightlifters of the State won gold medal in the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship at Noida today. Poppy Hazarika of Sivasagar collected gold medal in 59kg (senior, snatch 84kg, clean and jerk 105kg) category. Sidhant Gogoi, hails from Charaideo, won gold medal in the 61kg (junior, snatch 112 kg, clean and jerk 148kg) category. On the other hand Bedabrata Bharali of Dibrugarh won a gold medal in the 67kg (Youth, snatch 121 kg, clean and jerk 148kg) category.
