Coronavirus: Cricket tourneys, volleyball meet postponed

GUWAHATI: Taking precautionary measures to fight against Novel Corona Virus more sports associations of the State today decided to postpone their scheduled events for indefinite periods. The Assam Cricket Association today announced to stop all cricketing activities, including Pulin Das Inter School Cricket and Assam Premier Club championship, across the state. The Golden Jubilee celebration of South Kamrup Sports Association, which was supposed to be held from March 19-21, also postponed and the new dates would be announced later.

The Sub Junior inter District Volleyball Championship too postponed for an indefinite period. The tournament was scheduled to kick off on March 27 at Nagaon.
