GUWAHATI: Lenruol Football Club secured a commanding 6-1 victory over Immortal Warriors FC in a one sided encounter of the Assam State Premier League Football held at Mirza on Monday.
From the outset, Lenruol FC showcased superior skill and coordination, taking the lead in the 16th minute through a well-placed strike by Jehova Lalringum Hmar. Just seconds before the halftime whistle, Lalhminghlu Vankal doubled their advantage, giving Lenruol a comfortable cushion going into the break.
Vankal continued his excellent form in the second half, netting his second goal of the match in the 53rd minute. The goal spree continued with Bijoy Tantubai, Ibobi Singh, and Sanjib Chaterjee each adding their names to the scoresheet, sealing a comprehensive win for Lenruol FC.
Despite the heavy defeat, Immortal Warriors managed to pull one back through Aklend Barla, who scored their lone consolation goal in the 79th minute.
