Former State footballer Mahendra Brahma expired

GUWAHATI: Former national-level footballer from Assam Mahendra Brahma died at Barama today after prolonged illness. He was 57. Mahendra, an official of Assam Police, represented the Assam Police team from 1987 to 2000 and during that period he also turned up for State team in the Santosh Trophy. The Assam Football Association has mourned the death of Brahma.
