Friends Sporting United lift veterans Soccer’ title at SAI Sports complex

GUWAHATI: Friends Sporting United of Shillong lifted the UBC Challenge International Veterans Soccer title defeating CMG of Nepal in a well contested final held at the SAI Sports complex here today. The fate of the game was decided through tie break after the schedule time ended 1-1. Friends Sporting United over came the challenge in the tie break with a 4-1 victory. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today attended the final and he was also introduced to the players of both the teams before the start of the game.

Earlier in the semi final CMG Club of Nepal defeated Delhi Sunday Club by 4-3 via tie break after the schedule time ended 0-0. In the other semi final, Friends Sporting United won against Narengi CC by 4-0.
