GUWAHATI: Ghanshyam Boruah, the former treasurer of the Assam Cricket Association and former professor of Gauhati University, passed away in the city after a prolonged illness. He was 82 years old and is survived by a host of relatives.
Boruah, who served as the treasurer for a long period, played a pivotal role in advancing the activities of the Assam Cricket Association, including the construction of the ACA Stadium, Barsapara.
ACA president Taranga Gogoi, secretary Tridib Konwar and Apex Council Members have expressed their condolences to the bereaved family members.
