GUWAHATI: The GSA Inter-Club Hockey Championship 2024–25 kicked off on Friday at the Md. Tayabullah Hockey Stadium in Bhetapara. The tournament was formally inaugurated by Sunil Nath, Vice-President of the Guwahati Sports Association. The opening day witnessed a flurry of action across four matches. On the opening game Sporting United delivered a solid performance, defeating Dynamo Club with a convincing 3–0 scoreline. The second fixture saw a dominant display from Frontier Club, who outclassed Newstar Club with an emphatic 7–0 victory. In the third encounter of the day Dynamo Club won 5-1 and in the fourth match of the day Sporting United defeated New Star Club 6-0.
