Guwahati: ASEBSC Complete Semifinal Line Up at 70th Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament

GUWAHATI: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) secured a spot in the semi-finals of the 70th Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament (Kamrup Metro Leg) with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over SAISC at the SAI Sports Complex on Sunday.

The match remained tightly contested, with both teams pushing for an early advantage. ASEBSC broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when Chandan Barman found the net. However, SAISC responded just before the half-time whistle, as Richal Handique scored the equalizer, ensuring the teams entered the break level at 1-1.

The decisive moment of the game came in the 73rd minute when Dwijoraj Boro netted the winning goal for ASEBSC.

With this victory, ASEBSC joined the last-four stage of the tournament. The first semi-final, scheduled for Monday, will see DBI Sports Club take on Gauhati Town Club, while ASEBSC will face Assam Police in the second semi-final on Tuesday.
