GUWAHATI: Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre (GCCC) secured a comfortable 6-wicket victory over Santipur Athletic Club in the 10th Sitaram Chhawchharia Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament at the NFRSA Stadium in Maligaon on Thursday. The match was reduced to 20 overs per side due to rain.
After electing to bat, Santipur Athletic Club were bundled out for just 81 runs in 16 overs, largely due to a brilliant bowling performance by Faiyaz Ahmed, who claimed 6 wickets for just 17 runs. Abhishek Yadav was the top scorer for Santipur with 27 runs.
In response, GCCC chased down the target in 12.4 overs, losing four wickets in the process. Sahal Khan scored 21, while Piyush Kamati remained unbeaten on 15 to guide their team to victory.
