GUWAHATI: Ganesh Basfor starred with the ball as City Cricket Coaching Centre (CCCC) registered a five-wicket win over BNCCA in the 10th Sitaram Chhawchharia Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament at NFRSA Stadium, Maligaon on Thursday.
Batting first, BNCCA were bundled out for 84 runs in 17.3 overs, largely due to Ganesh Basfor’s brilliant spell of 5 for 21 in 6 overs. He was well supported by Mayuresh Basfor, who picked up 3 wickets for just 6 runs. Only Beer Oniket Prasad showed resistance for BNCCA, scoring a fighting 43 off 31 balls, including six boundaries and a six.
In reply, CCCC chased down the target in 18.3 overs, scoring 85 for 5. Nihal Baishya chipped in with a valuable 26 runs, while Beer Oniket Prasad also impressed with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 16 runs.
