GUWAHATI: Itkhola Club of Silchar triumphed over Star Sporting Club (Nagaon) by 44 runs in the APCC match at Judges Field today. The standout performer of the game was Hritwik Dhar from the winning team, who claimed an impressive 6 wickets for just 29 runs.
Batting first, Itkhola Club posted a total of 191 runs in 36.4 overs. Captain Abhishek Thakuri top-scored with a solid 59 off 61 balls, which included 5 fours and 1 six. Sadek Imran Choudhury also made a significant contribution, scoring 45 runs. For the Nagaon side, Roshan Alam took 5 wickets for 33 runs, while Akshay Kumar Deka followed closely with 4 wickets for 32 runs.
In response, Saurabh Kumar Saha fought valiantly for Nagaon, scoring an unbeaten 64 runs, with 8 boundaries. However, his effort fell short as Nagaon was bowled out for 147. Hritwik’s exceptional bowling, including 7 overs and 6 wickets, was the key to Itkhola’s victory.
