Joshna, Om Crowned Champions at Brahmaputra Squash Championship

GUWAHATI: Top star Joshna Chinappa lived up to expectations as she clinched the Women’s title at the 5th All India Brahmaputra Squash Championship, which concluded on Tuesday at the RG Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati. In the Men’s category, Om Semwal emerged victorious, securing the top spot.

In the junior division, Assam’s own Ayaan Kaushik delivered an impressive performance, finishing as the runner-up in the Boys’ Under-11 category.

The award ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Assam Director General of Police Harmeet Singh, BCCI General Secretary Devajit Saikia, and Arjuna Awardee archer Jayanta Talukdar, alongside key officials from the Assam Squash Rackets Association.

Girls U-11: Shravanthi Sendilanth (TN, 3rd), Aarna Rao (MH, 2nd), Arunima Chaubey (KA, 1st).
