Kritanta wins triple crown, Kristi bags double

Guwahati, June 15: Kritanta Sarma of Assam lifted triple crown in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament which was concluded at the Chachal Tennis complex here today. Kritanta won U-16 and U-18 singles titles along with boys U-18 doubles title. In the girls U-16 and U-18 years singles events Kristi Boro of Assam annexed double crown by winning both the events.

The closing function was attended by Col. Mridul Borkakati along with Secretary and Joint Secretary of AATA Ankush Dutta and Digantajyoti Gogoi respectively.

Final Results: Boys U-16 singles: Kritanta Sarma (AS) def Shahir Farhaz (AS) 6-0, 6-2. Boys U-18 singles: Kritanta Sarma (AS) def Amit Rout (WB) 6-2, 6-2.Girls U-16 singles: Kristi Boro (AS) def Ishika Chakma (AS). 6-3, 6-4. Girls U-18 singles: Kristi Boro (AS) def Ishika Chakma (AS). 6-2, 6-4.
