Maharana AC and NFRSC keep hope alive in GSA Super Division Soccer League

Guwahati: Maharana AC and NFRSC kept their hope alive to avoid relegation in the GSA Super Division Soccer League this season. The match between the two sides ended 2-2 draw at the Nehru stadium here today. Bappa Biswas and Jelendra Brahma scored for NFRSC while Mridul Ali and Jayanta Baglary were the scorers for Maharana.

With today’s result, Maharana collected 6 points from their nine outings and they are at the bottom of the points table. NFRSC are in seventh spot with 8 points. In the last game NFRSC will face AP Blues while Maharana AC will clash against Gauhati Town club. Both the teams now need victory in their last game to avoid relegation. NFRSC are in little better position as they can manage to avoid relegation even playing a draw or losing their last tie but Maharana have no other option except win.
