Meghalaya Football Association Referees Pass Cat-2 level

Shillong: Kulishon Shyrkon and Lightstar Kharduit of Meghalaya Football Association passed the practical and viva-voce sections of the exams to become Cat-2 level referees. This was confirmed by the All India Football Federation. Shyrkon and Kharduit had passed the physical and written exams a few months earlier.

An individual needs around four years of officiating experience to make it to the national level as Cat-2 referee. The examination was held recently at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
