OIL – AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament: Parthiv, Chandogya in final

GUWAHATI: Parthiv Kalita of Assam stormed into the finals of the boys under 14 and 16 years singles events in the OIL – AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament at the All Assam Tennis Association complex here to-day. In the boys U- 16 singles semi-final 3rd seed Parthiv Kalita caused a major upset by defeating top seed Riyan Kashyap of Assam in three gruelling sets 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. Parthiv Kalita also entered the boys under 16 doubles finals partnering with Chandogya T Pathak of Assam. Meanwhile Chandogya T Pathak too earned a berth in the final in boys under 14 singles category.
