Oil India Limited Football club (OILFC) in final of Bordoloi Trophy

GUWAHATI: Oil India Limited Football club (OILFC) stormed into the final of the 66th Bordoloi Trophy Football tournament defeating Assam Regimental Centre 4-1 in the first semi final held at the Nehru stadium here today. The score was 1-1 during the lemon break.

It was Assam Regimental Centre which first took lead in the game with a nice goal from captain N Rakesh. The goal however didn’t dampen the spirit of OILFC and they made several well organized raids and finally got the equalizer in the 40th minutes through Milan Basumatari. In the second half the game was totally one sided affair and OILFC displayed well organized soccer during the last 45 minutes. Tulya Das gave lead to OILFC in 48 minutes and later Mintu Boro scored 59 and 72 minutes to make the game a one sided affair.

The second semi final would be held tomorrow at the Nehru stadium where ASEBSC will face FC Green Valley.
