Pallabi and Akhlas win title at 2nd Inter Institutional Carrom

GUWAHATI: Directorate of Health Service (Assam) emerged victorious in the Men's Team Championship at the 2nd Inter Institutional Carrom Tournament defeating AG ( A&E), Assam 3-0 in the final here on Monday.

In the individual category Pallabi Baishya of Assam Secretariat claimed the women’s singles title beating Purabi Bora Yadav of AG ( Audit) Assam 2-0 to win the title. Akhlas Ahmed of Postal Department bagged the men’s singles title defeating Simanta Das of Assam Secretariat 2-0.

The closing ceremony was graced by S.K Sinha, Deputy Accountant General (Admn), Accountant General (A&E), Assam as the chief guest while Sujit Dey,  Asst General Manager State Bank of India Marketing and Public Communication, Local Head office attended the event as the guest of honour.
