Paralympic Association of Assam appeals to Pramila Rani Brahma for land

GUWAHATI: Paralympic Association of Assam (PAA) appealed to the Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma to allot a land for the para athletes of the state. The association has planned to construct a multi sports stadium for the para athletes if the land is allotted to them.

In a memorendum to the minister the general secretary of the Paralympic Association of Assam Rajib Dey said that Assam are in a need of Stadium exclusively for the para athletes/differently able sports persons of the state as they are facing a lot of difficulties to continue their training in general stadium. He added: A stadium for the para athletes can change the scenario of para-games in the state in a very big way. Apart from training the stadium can also be used to organize different para-games and sports.
