PITA beat Assam Sports Journalists’ Association (ASJA) in exhibition cricket at Nehru Stadium

GUWAHATI: PITA defeated Assam Sports Journalists’ Association (ASJA) by 5 wickets in an exhibition cricket match held at the Nehru Stadium here today.

The match featured impressive performances from Abuddin Khan, who scored a brisk 79 off 52 balls, including 12 fours and 2 sixes, and Manish Das, who played a match-winning knock of 85 off just 42 balls, studded with 5 fours and 9 sixes.

Electing to bat, ASJA were bowled out for 159, with Abuddin Khan being the top scorer. For PITA, Nirob Borah starred with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 20 runs.

In reply, PITA comfortably chased down the target, scoring 162 for 5. Manish Das anchored the innings, supported by Gunjal Dutta’s 32.
