GUWAHATI: Rangia staged a strong comeback to take a slender 6-run lead against Secretary XI on the opening day of the RG Baruah U-16 Inter District Cricket Tournament at Nehru Stadium today.

Secretary XI’s bowlers dominated early, with Arun Biswas claiming 5 for 18 and Siddhartha Das taking 5 for 29 to bowl out Rangia for just 67 runs in their first innings.

In reply, Rangia’s bowlers delivered an impressive performance of their own, dismissing Secretary XI for 61. Asif Iqbal led the attack with figures of 4 for 27, while Yash Poddar and Rijuwan Ahmed picked up three wickets each, giving Rangia a slim but vital first-innings lead.
