Raunak, Adrika emerge champs in 4th Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship

GUWAHATI: Raunak Kashyap of Sivasagar lifted the Boy’s Singles (under 12 years) title defeating Ayan Bhuyan of Guwahati 6-3, 6-1 in the final while in the Girl’s Singles (under 12 years) Adrika Rajkumari of Dhemaji clinched the title beating Roshni Bharadwaj of Guwahati 6-3, 6-1 in the final in the 4th Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship, organised by the Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA), at the RG Baruah Sports Complex, Nehru Stadium played here today.

In the Boy’s Singles (under 14 years) Manan Nath reached final defeating Ayan Bhuyan 6-3, 6-1 in semifinal while in the other semifinal Adriraj Krishna Bhuyan of Golaghat beat Darshan Goswami 6-4, 6-3. In the Girl’s Singles (under 14 years) Tania Kumari and Namrata Das reached final defeating Nayanika Deka 6-3, 6-0 and Roshni Bharadwaj 6-0, 6-3 in the semifinals respectively.

All the remaining finals of Boy’s Singles (under 14 and 18 years), Boy’s Doubles (under 14 years) and Girl’s Singles (under 14 and 18 years) will be played tomorrow from morning 8.00 AM onwards.
