GUWAHATI: Star batter Riyan Parag has returned to Assam’s Ranji Trophy squad and will lead the team in their upcoming match against Saurashtra. The game is scheduled to take place in Rajkot from January 30. Assam had been without Riyan for most of the season due to injury concerns, but he has now recovered and is ready to play.
Meanwhile, Assam’s Ranji Trophy match against Railways ended in a draw at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara, on Sunday. In response to Railways’ first-innings total of 250, Assam was bowled out for 216 and allowed visitors to take first innings lead. Railways declared their second innings at 124/5 before the match concluded.
