Samarendra Rajkumar Veterans’ Tennis concluded at Jorhat Tennis Club

JORHAT: 7th Samarendra Rajkumar Veterans’ Tennis tournament concluded at Jorhat Tennis Club on Sunday.Priyanuj Lahkar and Rahul Rajkhewa of Guwahati won the Anil Kumar Barooah Trophy in the +35 years category defeating Kaustav Varun Borbora and Wamique Ansari of Jorhat 6-1, 1-0 (conceded).

Sibashis Dutta Gupta and Ashish Jain of Silchar lifted the Ashok Chandra Borthakur Trophy beating Rajib Dutta and Swapnil Bharali of India Club, Guwahati 9-6 in the +45 years event.

In the +55 years event, Devojyoti Borpuzari of Jorhat Tennis club partnering with Hakim Ali of OIL, Duliajan got the better of Makhan Lal Gattani and Ashok Kumar Malpani of Jorhat Tennis club 9-4and collected Madan Lal Agarwalla Trophy. Meanwhile the +65 category competition was all India Club, Guwahati affair where PG Agarwalla and Sankar Lahkar lifted the title defeating Bimal Bharali and Chandan Barman 9-6 in a well contested game.
